The Ford F-150 Lightning gets an impressive amount of power from its electric powertrain. The Lightning is driven by two electric motors and a battery pack. This electric system gives the Ford Lightning a respectable power output of 426 HP, and it can crank out up to 775 LB-FT in torque. The standard battery pack beneath the hood of the Ford Lightning delivers nearly 230 miles of fully electric range. You can also get a range extender for the battery, which delivers up to 300 miles of full-electric range. This battery also increases Ford's power output to an even greater 563 HP. The F-150 Lightning is a truck with rapid acceleration capabilities and the ability to go from 0-60 MPH in under five seconds. The Ford F-150 Lightning has a maximum tow rating of 10,000 pounds when it is fully rigged. You can also get a Max Trailer towing package for easier hauling. The Lightning also has a maximum payload of 2,000 pounds. The Ford Lighting can be charged at home or on the road, and it is even designed with a backup power system that can provide stored backup power at home.
Interior and Features
In addition to the impressive features beneath its hood, the Ford F-150 Lightning has a contemporary and well-designed interior. The Ford's interior has a user-friendly layout with a central touchscreen display, a fold-out table in the center console for additional storage, and even reclining seats in the front row. The Lightning also has a locking storage bin in the back under the rear seats. If you want even more conveniences, you can add on a few upgrades as well, including a 15.5-inch touchscreen interface. The Lightning has comfortable seats in both rows with various fabrics that vary based on your selected trim level. Plush leather upholstery is standard on the top trims for a luxurious ride no matter where you go. A key fob system is also available to help you access your Lightning from a distance.
