Ford recently tweeted this piece about five National Parks worth driving to this summer. The Adirondacks, which are only a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Danbury, CT region, were mentioned three times, for different routes the daring driver could explorer.
The Great Lakes Seaway Trail runs part of its 518-mile course through the Adirondack North Country, winding along the St. Lawrence River, and down the shores of Lake Erie, the Niagara River, and Lake Ontario. Use the new Ford Expedition's optional voice-activated navigation to find nearby attractions while journeying across unfamiliar territory.
The Revolutionary Trail lets you live out your favorite moments from Hamilton, with dozens of historical sites from the revolution marked along this 158-miles route between Albany and Lake Ontario. The Expedition's third-row seating folds down with a touch of a button to make room for more camping gear.
Then there is the Adirondacks Coast Wine Trail, which you may want to bring along a designated driver for. Enjoy the yearly festival in the fall, and check out some of the best wineries on the East Coast.
